What Is A Sketchbook About Her Sun?
A Sketchbook About Her Sun isn’t a game. At least not in the traditional way. As various games have you walking around from one place to another, this takes all that away from you. Of course, this isn’t anything groundbreaking as the game is a part of the visual novel genre and fans of that genre will know all too well what to expect from this.
The gameplay is simple, very simple. That’s because the gameplay isn’t supposed to be what hooks you, the main focus of this game is on its story. So what is it? A Sketchbook About Her Sun centers on Lucia. A woman who has recently gotten out of a long-term relationship. She now resides in a simple remote town and tries to get back into sketching. However, she finds it difficult as the memories of her relationship keep coming back to haunt her and as she struggles to move on, we witness Lucia’s journey as well.
A Sketchbook About Her Sun is vague as plots ago, that’s because it was based on an album. Not a book or a movie, this was based on Red Ribbon‘s 2020 album “Planet X“. The game is split into 11 segments, each one centered around a song from the album. Fans of other visual novels, such as Tsukihime, should lower their expectation when it comes to this game’s playtime. The game is only around 30 minutes long, the game makes up for this by being very replayable.
The game has gone on to be beloved by fans, as many have shared themselves 100%ing it.
