For quite some time now, there’s been rumors saying that there are multiple Avatar The Last Airbender games in development, and it seems there was some truth to those rumors after all. Not only has Square Enix confirmed that it’s working on a mobile RPG called Avatar: Generations, but another game based on the acclaimed series has now been spotted on Amazon Japan.
Redditor Vartux shared the listing on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, along with a link to the game’s page on Amazon Japan, in a pretty big way. According to the listing, the unannounced game is called “Avatar: The Quest For Balance” and is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 8. Talking about Avatar Nintendo Switch, there’s been no official word a release for other platforms.
While Avatar The Last Airbender Quest for Balance release date is November 8th, the listing doesn’t reveal more about the game itself and has no images to speak of, it does reveal that GameMill will either specifically publish or generally develop it. GameMill specifically is perhaps almost the best known for publishing Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and other licensed games sort of such as Cobra Kai, which is quite significant.
It’s not clear whether GameMill is developing the game or not, but it seems more likely that they’re just publishing it, as they seem to have some kind of licensing deal with Nickelodeon, who also released All-Star Brawl last year.
Going back to the leaks that were published in February, Avatar news site Avatar News reported that several games based on Avatar: The Last Airbender are in development. The site suggested that two games are currently in development, one MMORPG that’s quite a ways off, and one Aang-centric console RPG that seemed fairly close to release. This one seems to be the latter one.
