EA Sports recently announced several new additions to FIFA 23 Icon Players library that will be available for the first time in FIFA 23. FIFA 23 is just a few weeks away from launch, and if a fresh start is something you have planned in Ultimate Team mode, then it’d be best if you kept up with all the new content coming to this hugely popular and competitive part of the game.

The three new icon cards added by EA in FIFA 23 that players will be able to benefit from are Gerd Muller from Germany, Xabi Alonso from Spain, and Jairzinho from Brazil. If you’ve got a team based on German, Spanish, or Brazilian players, this can benefit you heavily. Gerd Muller holds the highest-rated Icon card among the new additions as he was a legendary player for Germany.
He managed to score 68 goals in 62 games for West Germany and led his national team to victory at the 1974 FIFA World Cup in Munich. Muller was also a great player in the Bundesliga. He broke several important records in the domestic German football league, including most goals in a career, most hat-tricks, and most goals scored in a single season. Gerd Muller icon cards will only be available for the Striker position in three different totals of 89, 92, and 94.
Xabi Alonso is the second edition. The fresh two-time Champions League winner joined the Bundesliga in 2014 under Pep Guardiola and quickly established himself as a key lieutenant of the new style. In a Bundesliga match against Cologne in September, Alonso set a new record for most passes completed with 196, over two minutes.
Jairzinho is the next big player to join the Icon series. The Brazilian winger is best known for his untouchable record at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, where he managed to score in every single game from the group stage to the final, helping Brazil to a third World Cup title in Mexico.
