In addition to being a Controller agent, it was made clear that this will be a Valorant character of Indian origin. The post includes a piece of key art that shows fishing boats moored at a wharf with a journal, a drink, and a bowl of samosas on a table in the foreground. The image is prefaced with the text “Jald hi milte hain”, which means “see you soon” in Hindi. Senior character producer John Goscicki wrote:
We have seen that Controllers are in a bit of a drought. It feels like we have to go all the way back to ancient times to our last new Controller release with Astra.
While there’s no further information about the company in the teaser post, it’s full of what appears to hint about this new agent. Goscicki mentions “drought,” “ancient times,” “blue ocean,” and “flood” in the text, and these all seem to have been purposely kicked into the post to hint at aspects of this new agent’s background, specifically, some sort of aquatic theme.
