Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller may be released in a brand new color. The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has only been available to us in the black color; although there was a Halo-styled limited-edition version, the main controller color has always been black since launch. However, the white version of the controller seems to be releasing in the future. Recently, Rebs Gaming posted a new video on Twitter showing the controller being unboxed.

Rebs Gaming stated on Twitter that this is presumably the very first footage of the Xbox Elite Series 2 White Edition controller. He also stated that back in March of this year, a leaked image of the controller was posted by IdleSloth84. The video of the controller was originally posted by Nicholas Lugo on YouTube.

As of right now, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed the existence of the so-called White Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, although, in my opinion, the video seems to be genuine. A bit of skepticism is necessary when it comes to leaks like this, but the video does show a brief unboxing of the rumored controller. Some viewers did note that the security stickers on the box were removed very quickly, although it’s more likely that the box was already opened before the unboxing video, as that’s not all too uncommon. Still, take this info with a grain of salt.

As stated by Microsoft themselves, the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is the world’s most advanced controller with a number of features. Now, does it feature DualSense’s haptic feedback? Not really, but it does feature the following:

  • Adjustable-tension thumbsticks
  • Shorter hair trigger locks
  • Wrap around rubberized grip
  • Up to 3 custom profiles and 1 default profile
  • Button Mapping

It should also be noted that the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is the only Xbox controller ever released that features a built-in rechargeable battery pack, so that’s neat. Although, I doubt that really did much to stop the Xbox battery pack jokes.
